You can make an impact
on LSU’s Campus through the ministry
of Christ the King.
“Through CTK’s RCIA program I have met life-long friends and I gained a Godmother who loves and prays for me ceaselessly and points me in the direction of Christ. This has been the best part about college for me – diving deeper into my relationship with the Lord and meeting people who are Christ centered and want the exact same thing for me – for Christ to be at the very center of my life.”
“When I moved to Baton Rouge from Central California to begin my graduate studies, my first instinct outside of the classroom was to find whatever Catholic center LSU had to offer. What I found was the most inviting, caring, and spiritually-invested community I could ask for. CTK is a sanctuary, a place that preaches truth and spreads love and understanding amidst this chaotic world. The people I’ve come to know there were like my second family, providing spiritual and emotional support to keep me fighting through graduate school and the struggles of everyday life. I’m so grateful that my path in life led me to CTK, and I’ll continue to treasure the experiences I’ve had here for the rest of my life.”
There is so much I can say about the positive impact had on my life but it is evident simply in my progression over the last couple years. I have gradually fallen more in love with the FOCUS mission, CTK community, and most of all, Jesus Christ. The Lord has truly worked in my heart and I am immensely grateful that they are part of my life. They have made my college experience so fulfilling and have prepared me to continue to live in Christ when I leave.
“Being an out-of-state student and coming from a great Life-teen program in high school, I was nervous about being able to find a faith-filled community like the one I had back home. The Freshman Retreat, Arise, and social nights made me feel right at home at CTK. They gave me the opportunity to bond with so many new people when it can be difficult to do especially right now in the middle of the pandemic. Thanks to these events, I am forever grateful to be a part of the CTK community.”
“For those of you with kids starting at LSU this fall…tell them about CTK, introduce them to people, bring them to Mass there and encourage them to join a small group. Why?
Because LSU is HUGE and it can be difficult to make friends. For a child who has never left home, it can be lonely and scary. They WILL need the support the first two semesters, and so will you. “
“I arrived in college, lost, confused, lonely, missing something important and I didn’t know what it was. Someone from CTK reached out to me, invited me into their life, and introduced me to Who I was searching for. I am a new man, completely changed, configured to Christ, and filled with His life. The Lord has called me to be even closer to Him, and I’m so incredibly excited to give Him even more of my heart which He longs to love with His infinity and eternity.”
